Glass Bottom Boat in Coral Bay

Today we are still in Coral Bay. This morning we went on the glass bottom boat. The boat left at 10:00 am.

First we had to walk through the water to the boat because it was too shallow for the boat to come up to the shore.

The fish in the water are coloured black and white. There was big schools of blue and silver fish. North West Snappers.

Mum and Abi at the back of the boat

When we stopped at the first snorkeling spot I got in the water with Dad. I swam with a mask and my camera.

I took pictures of coral and fish. When I got back on the boat I felt sick.

The types of coral were ayers rock, cabbage, lavender and dreadlock coral. Three things that coral is, plant animal and mineral.

I felt happy and a bit nervous about going in the water. I was nervous about accidently drinking the salt water.

Coral Bay

Yesterday we have moved onto Coral Bay. Today I went to the beach.

Mum and Me at the beach
The first part of the beach had no sand and Mum, Charlotte, Abi, and I all had to walk through the water to get to Dad. He drove the car.

Tomorrow we are going on the glass bottom boat.

In the caravan park there is a swimming pool and a play ground with a jumping pillow. The swimming pool is my favourite thing. It is fun.

Kalbarri National Park

Yesterday we went to the Kalbarri National Park. We did two of the walks we went to Natures Window and the Z Bend.

The gorges were large brown rocks that were made naturally by the wind and the water. They had water running through them.

Wednesday 15th April

Today my family and I are in Kalbarri at the Murchison River Caravan Park.

Yesterday we went to the Pink Lake in Port  Gregory. Do you know why it is called that? It is called that because of the bacteria that lives in the salt grains.

It was exciting to look at !
